Where and when is the NaturVision Film Festival held?

The Film Festival is held every year in July in Neuschönau in the Bavarian Forest in Germany.

What happens at the NaturVision Film Festival?

The NaturVision Film Festival is a unique experience offering entertainment, information and discussion. As well as the film programme, with its many nature and environmental films shown in unusual venues, there is the framework programme, which includes the opening ceremony and the gala evening on the Saturday featuring the award ceremony. Workshops, panel discussions and information and food stands complete the festival activities.

Who is NaturVision aimed at?

NaturVision is aimed at all filmmakers, cinema fans, friends of nature, wildlife and the environment, tourists, locals, children and adults. It is a festival of encounters, where viewers get the chance to speak to the filmmakers, biologists and environmentalists, but also the representatives of the broadcasting organisations and editors. And the professionals get the rare opportunity to receive feedback and suggestions straight from their audiences.

You will find all the films listed with descriptions on the NaturVision website under Programme. The dates and venues for the showings and events are provided in the programme overview.

How can I find accommodation?

On the service pages you will find some useful links under Accommodation. The National Park communities offer some good package deals at festival time.

Who counts as a trade visitor?

Trade visitors include e.g. filmmakers, editors from the broadcasting organisations and scientists from the field of nature. As an accredited visitor you get access to all NaturVision workshops, seminars and events, all film showings which are part of the festival and all events for trade visitors.
The accreditation charge is € 65, but there is a special early-bird price of € 35 until 15 June.

How do I get accredited as a trade visitor?

Just fill in the online registration form and send it off via the Internet. Then please print the form out, sign it and send it to NaturVision by post. You can pay the registration fee via bank transfer or in cash. All necessary documents will be waiting for you at the Festival Centre.

How do I submit a film for the NaturVision film competition?

If you subscribe to our trade visitors’ newsletter, we will let you know in good time when and how you can submit your films for NaturVision.

What important deadlines are there?

Trade visitors can register until shortly before the festival. We recommend that you book your accommodation in good time.
