Grand Prix NaturVision

This award is inspired by the LfA Förderbank Bayern. It goes to the director of the film chosen by the jury as the best film at the NaturVision Film Festival. The award carries an endowment of € 3,000.

Best German Documentary

This award goes to an outstanding German film which reflects German individuality and international standards in equal measure.

Bavarian Award

This award is inspired by FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. It honours the best Bavarian entry – i.e. a film made by a Bavarian filmmaker or production company or one which deals with an original Bavarian topic. The award carries an endowment of € 2,000.

Best Camera

This award goes to the film in which the camera work contributes most uniquely to the artistic and aesthetic quality of the film.

Best Story

This award goes to the film with the most exceptional storytelling and unconventional dramaturgy.

Best Children’s Film

This award goes to the film which best introduces children to the complex relationship between nature and the environment and stimulates their interest in the topic.

Best Conservation/Sustainability Film

This award is inspired by the BMW Plant Dingolfing. It goes to the film that most effectively presents the ecological challenges facing us and highlights the need for conservation of our environment.

Expedition Adventure Award

This award goes to an outstanding documentary that reports most impressively on extraordinary human achievements and pushing boundaries, with special focus on the relationship between those portrayed and nature.

Newcomers and Amateurs Award

This award is inspired by Avid Technology GmbH. It is aimed at newcomers and non-professionals whose films tackle the subject of nature/wildlife/people/environment innovatively and convincingly. The length and genre of the film are irrelevant. This award includes an “Avid Media Composer Academic” software package.

Audience Award

All visitors to the Festival have the opportunity to vote for their favourite film from the competition programme. The winner receives the Audience Award.
