Dr. Michael Apel
Dr. Michael Apel leads the museum “Mensch und Natur” in Munich, after his studies he worked in Saudi Arbabien and Jemen as zoologist and marine biologist. In 2003 he took the lead for the nature department in the museum in Wiesbaden, end of 2006 he changed to Munich.
Ralf Blasius
Ralf Blasius is working as a producer, director and writer for the internationally acclaimed production company Off The Fence. OTF is a well known brand for science, history and wildlife documentaries.
Before joining OTF Ralf Blasius worked nine years at ZDF Germany, where he was in charge of major primetime documentaries. Originally he is a trained journalist with academic degrees in biology and history of sciences. Ralf has many years of experience as a producer and writer.
Susanne Hillmann
From 1980 Susanne Hillmann studied art history, Italian and German literature for 8 years in Heidelberg 1989/90 she did volountary work for ZDF and since that she is employed as TV-editor for different TV-shows with the subjects Culture and science. From 1993 to 2000 she was in charge of the animal magazin “tele zoo”. Since April 2007 she works just for animal- and naturfilmshows.
Olaf Sauermann
studied biology in Düsseldorf and Cologne from 1980 until 1986. Afterwards he worked for several TV stations: Science and economy WDR, he was editor for "ARD Aktuell" and "RTL". Since 2000 he is leading editor for "Kabel 1" und "ProSieben", now he is the representative of the leading editor for "Galileo".
Anke Sparmann
Anke Sparmann studied German language and literature in cologne. She worked as a voluntary and an editor in Bonn. Since 1999 she is a self employed author and supervises the subject nature at magazine GEO.

Dagmar Andres-Brümmer
Dagmar Andres-Brümmer studied biology in Mainz. Today she is in charge of press and public relation work for the zoological association Frankfurt, an old nature protection organization, founded by Bernhard Grzimek.
Kerstin Kimmerle
Kerstin Kimmerle lives and works in Bremen and has committed herself to various media projects there. With a thesis about animal films she finished her studies in Art- and Cultural sciences in 2007. That’s how she came to join the NaturVision team in 2008 and is in charge for the project management of the film festival since then.
Christine Peters
Since 1999 Christine Peters is editor for the “Bayrischen Rundfunk”, editorial office of ARTE, currently she is in charge of the “exploring and science” department there and for the topic on the Tuesday night program on arte.
Bernd Strobel
Born in 1954, Bernd Strobel is a skilled cameraman; he has a diploma in forestry and is focused on biology of the wild. From 1988 on he worked as a self employed cameraman and producer for subjects like ecology of the tropical rainforest. Since 1991 he works for the “Bayrischen Rundfunk”, mainly for culture issues. His films about dying craft were nominated in 2005 for the Adolph-Grimme-Price. From 2008 on now fascinated by wildlife films he works as editor in the range of animals and nature for the “Bayrischen Rundfunk”.
Ralph Thoms
Apprenticeship as telecommunications technician; following adult education went on to study ethnology. Founder member of Trickster publishing company (specialising in foreign cultures and their way of life, but also art books and a film-book series). From 1993-1995 headed a development aid project in Guinea-Bissau. Initiator and Director of the NaturVision Film Festival.
