What is a good story? A story that tells a hero's journey, a story that has several dimensions, that has something new to tell, that captivates us and takes us on this journey. The journey that we liked best takes us to Finnmark, in the very north of Norway. There, the Sami people are fighting for their culture and a way of life that is in harmony with nature. The German researchers who set off on their journey there are looking for proof of how western plastic production has long since reached even such an unspoilt landscape and is therefore also partly responsible for the destruction of the environment and climate. The stories of the Sami and the researchers' desire to raise awareness combine here to create a common story in which the demise of cultures and the climate crisis are two sides of the same coin. A story that we found outstanding.
